Exploring Homeschooling April – June
Guest post by Jennifer Tan
Homeschooling this time of the year can be a challenging time. Some families find that they are done with planned curriculum early, some are looking to change the rhythm along with the season, and others are looking for inspiration. I invite all families to “Explore Your World” over the next three months. Try incorporating some or all of the below explorations into your new weekly rhythm!
Explore Your Community: Geocaching, Letterboxing, using a compass, reading maps.
Explore Math Artistically: Drawing shapes, finding shapes in nature, drawing math problems
Explore a New Musical Instrument or Handwork Medium
Explore Social Studies through Stories, Painting and Clay
Explore Science through Observation and Art
Explore Foreign Language through Stories and Songs
Explore Form Drawing through Movement, Chalk, Crayon and Pencil
